Decent, affordable, secure housing is at the heart of an inclusive society and a globally competitive economy.
Do we have a rental affordability problem in New Zealand? If so, what can we do about it?
This Forum is for anyone interested in housing affordability in New Zealand. During the course of the day we will consider:
• public policy in relation to affordable rental housing
• the dynamics of the private rental sector
• drivers of investment in private rental
• issues for renters, particularly those on low incomes
• possible solutions to the rental affordability problems
