Nominations are now open for the 2019 - 2021 Board of Directors

The Australasian Housing Institute was created for housing professionals and, what is more important, by the efforts of housing professionals. Each AHI member plays a significant role in creating and maintaining our professional association and its support of the Australasian social housing sector.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic, energetic, and committed professionals from the industry to serve on the AHI Board of Directors of 2019 - 2021. The Board of Directors is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Institute, ensuring its financial viability and managing the risk associated with the activities of the Institute.

Nominations close COB, 08 October 2019.

The nominations are now open for the following positions:

  • President
  • Director - ACT
  • Director - NSW
  • Director - NT
  • Director - QLD
  • Director - TAS (casual vacancy 1 year term to Nov 2020)

The AHI Board of Directors consists of up to eleven (11) members. The President is elected by the entire membership, while each AHI jurisdiction (NZ, QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC, TAS, SA, WA and NT) elects a jurisdictional director, and the board appoints a director for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander housing. All terms are for 2 years; elections are staggered so that only half the board positions fall vacant each year. The role of the Board and the President are detailed in the Role Statement for the AHI Board positions.
