Katheryn has recently moved into a new role of Housing Project Manager at HousingFirst Ltd and she supports the Housing Services Team which includes Tenancy Management, Community Development and Maintenance.
The Housing Project Manager has overall responsibility for ensuring a high standard of performance and professional practice in service delivery through appropriate project management, programs implementation, policy development and operational continuous improvement.
This position will ensure that Housing Services program growth is effectively and efficiently implemented into operations and sustained to meet the needs of staff, tenants and applicants in an inclusive and respectful manner. This position will work alongside the management team to ensure consistency of standards and to carry out HousingFirst’s mission, values, and strategic objectives to internal and external stakeholders.
From 1996 - 2005 has held a Senior Management role delivering Housing Services which included responsibility for Housing Management, Homelessness and Maintenance in the UK.
In 2011 – 2015 was the Income Manager for a local authority in the UK with the responsibility of income collection and income generation across the Councils portfolio of property. Was successful in reducing the rent arrears debt from over $2m to $980,00 in 18 months which was a considerable undertaking and was successful due to : implementation of a new streamlined debt collection process, fully trained staff both on IT, customer service and rent arrears process, improved court processes and better understanding of Housing benefit and subsidy .
Katheryn has key skills in working and delivering projects at all levels, working closely with key stakeholders, partners across agencies and local authorities.
