The Australasian Housing Institute (AHI) Announces New Chief Executive Officer
I’m pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Henderson as the Chief Executive Officer of the AHI. After an exhaustive search and recruitment process that saw over 100 applicants, the Board appointed Mark due to his extensive experience, passion and enthusiasm for the role.
Mark comes to us with extensive experience in a variety of leadership and project management roles, including as Chief Operating Officer and Deputy CEO of Lifeline Australia, where he led the organisation through significant reform. Mark has also worked as a consultant for more than ten years in both Australia and internationally; helping organisations with strategic change, technology and business transformation. Mark has exciting ideas for how the AHI can grow and provide even more value to our members and will be working closely with the team to develop an exciting new program of work starting early next year.
Our outgoing Executive Officer, Kelly Badewitz, has kindly provided plenty of time for a detailed handover. I’d once again like to thank Kelly for her outstanding work for the AHI over the last twelve years. She has really established the foundation from which we will be able to grow and strengthen the organisation and support our members. I’d like to wish Kelly the best of luck in her new endeavours, and ask that she never be a stranger to us at the AHI.
Finally, I’d like to thank Natalie Carrington and the team at Blooming HR, who provided outstanding assistance for us with the recruitment process.
As always, we’d love to hear from our members. You can contact mark at: firstname.lastname@example.org
