Terry is Professor of Housing Studies at the Swinburne Centre for Urban Transitions (CUT) and has an extensive publication and consultancy record in housing and homelessness. He is an experienced researcher but is probably better known for his teaching having developed, convened and taught the suite of postgraduate social housing courses offered by Swinburne from 1994 onwards. His research has predominantly been around issues of housing affordability, social housing management, housing policy and comparative housing. Terry has been on many government and community advisory committees and boards and has observed the political machinations around housing provision for many decades.
